Biography: New England Patriots QB Tom Brady

Tom Brady, born August 3, 1977, in San Mateo, California, graduated from Junipero Serra High School. Junipero Serra High School is a catholic school for boys. Barry Bonds and Lynn Swann also graduated from the same school. Brady then went on to attend the University of Michigan and led the Wolverines to the co-championship of the Big Ten Conference and had a 20-5 record as starting QB.

In the 2000 NFL draft, Brady was the 199th overall pick by the New England Patriots. Since Drew Bledsoe was the starting quarterback at the time, Brady was forced to remain second string. But early in 2001, as a result of an injury to Bledsoe, Brady finally got a chance to show his worth. That year the Patriots made the postseason, finishing with an 11-5 record. Brady went on to lead the Patriots past the Oakland Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers and on to the Super Bowl. As 14-point underdogs, the Patriots were not expected to perform well, but the over-achieving team led by Tom Brady prevailed and Brady was named Super Bowl MVP.

In 2003, Brady's fourth season in the NFL, the Patriots once again had a magnificent season and made the playoffs. In order to reach the Super Bowl again, the Patriots would have to go through the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts. They did just that and went on to win the Super Bowl for the second time in three years. 2004 was almost a copy of 2003 as the Patriots, led by Brady, won a third Super Bowl in four years.

Brady is also very knowledgeable in politics and aspires to become a United States senator after his football career. Tom Brady is bound to go down in NFL history as one of the best and most influenctial uarterbacks ever.
